Download this checklist, complete the form as you follow the course and make your CV the best it can be.

Getting a strong CV ready is an important part of the job searching process .A good curriculum vitae (CV) is essential when looking for work, especially when there are many candidates for the same position. Your objective is to get to an interview, Your CV needs to make you stand out from the crowd and ensure you get to that stage.
Remember that Recruiters have many hundreds of applications for each job, and on their first sort through of CV’s they are looking for a reason to reject applicants, to reduce the” in” stack! So if you can’t be bothered to present a professional CV with no errors, and to demonstrate that you have researched the job and believe you are right for it, your CV will be on the “out” stack!
Your CV and covering letter are your chance to show an employer the best of what you’ve got and who you are. It’s about selling your skills and experience, and showing them you’re the right person for the job. It should make it easy for employers to appraise your key skills and work experience to determine whether you’re appropriate for the role.
How you write your CV and covering letter is up to you, but there are some basic rules to follow if you want to create the best impression. Opinions vary as to the best template or format to use; there is no definitive answer. It will depend on a number of factors including the stage of your career, the type of position you are applying for, the country you are applying to work in and each sector may require a different emphasis on a particular aspect of the content, such as career history or qualifications.
Don’t assume that one CV will fit all applications, it needs to be a very targeted document for the role you are going for. Many people have several CV’s, if they have worked in several sectors. They may have a general one, and different one designed to appeal to a certain sector, such as sales.
There are some basic rules on how a CV should be written and the information that should be included. We will look at some examples and samples in detail later.
  • A CV should be neat and typed if possible.
  • It should also be concise, usually no more than two sides of A4.
  • A straightforward font and formatting is required – and the spelling must be checked .Poor spelling is the quickest way of getting a rejection.
  • It should be positive, stressing achievements and strengths, and make a good impression in a clear and positive way.
Check five or six adverts for the type of job you are applying for and then use the common requirements to mould your CV. The more information you have about the job role, duties and responsibilities, the better you can tailor your CV. So if you can get hold of a job description, go through it carefully, and highlight in your CV wherever you can demonstrate that you meet the specification.
The basic format for a CV includes:
  • Personal details, including name, phone number, email address and possibly any professional social media presence. You no longer need to include your date of birth, owing to age discrimination rules
  • A personal profile which sells yourself and your qualities, tailored towards the job you are applying for
  • Significant achievements, if appropriate. If you have an established career , you should next list your significant achievements that are relevant. This is an opportunity to quantify your achievements For example –“I Grew sales by 20% per annum”, “I produced above target reduction in overheads”, “I cultivated relationships with existing clients achieving a 30% increase in repeat business” .
  • Career history, starting with your most recent job first. Include dates and temporary or voluntary jobs if appropriate
  • Qualifications and training. both academic and from previous jobs, with the most recent first.
  • Interests, if they are relevant and especially if the skills are relevant for the job
  • Any extra information, such as reasons for a career change or reasons for gaps in career history, such as caring duties
  • References, ideally two or more and including a recent employer
Before each application review your CV against the job specification and make sure that it highlights that you’re the right match for the job.
Check you have outlined
  • Specific skills you have to offer the employer
  • Experience you have in the specific field
  • Appropriate personal qualities for the role
  • An understanding of the job requirements

THE PASTOR'S SON

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church.
She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children.
It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son. The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans.
This is when the problem began. You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son.
The church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting.
As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand.
The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past.
As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this:
"My fiancee's past is not what is on trial here. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?"
The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ .
Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters.
Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely, then it cannot cleanse us completely.
If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble.
What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus!!

who are you

MUST READ THIS AGAIN....................
A lady had an interview to
attend at
10am in Nairobi. That day; she
woke
up early and booked a vehicle at
5am. The vehicle didn't delay,
she
liked the speed too
. With her estimation, she
would get to Nairobi by 9am. Just
past
Gilgil,
the traffic cops stopped the
vehicle
and surprisingly, 2 fellows had
not fastened their safety belts. The
vehicle was summoned to the
police
station which was 15km off
the main
highway. The lady got really sad,
she
couldn't
switch vehicles since she had
no
extra money and was thus
forced to wait. She tried to call the
interviewers at 1st to
reschedule her
interview time but the call
never
went through. By the time they
were
leaving the station, it was
already
8.50am. She hoped all would be
well
but at Naivasha, the vehicle
developed a fault which
delayed the
journey for 1hr. By the time
she got
to Nairobi, it was 12.30. She
rushed to the venue of the
interview,
but
had to wait till 2pm since it
was
lunch time. At 2.15pm, she
went to the secretary who told
her she
would
have to wait till 3.30pm since
the
management were in a
meeting. At 3.30pm, she's called in
and
the
director told her, sorry for
keeping U
waiting since morning, we're
held up in another meeting with
our
company
suppliers... However we have
sat
since 2pm to deliberate on
your job specification, your office
and
the
salary.The lady was baffled
and said,
"Sir I haven't been
interviewed yet’’. The MD
answered her and said
"we
decided not to conduct the
interview
at least to save time and also
save the interviewees money on
transport,
so we looked at the papers for
the
most appropriate person we
want and we opted for U. You
won't be
disappointed. You’ll be shown
your
office, your secretary and the
driver
assigned to drive your company's
allotted vehicle. You’ll be on
probation for 2yrs.
Note: U might be held up by
issues
in your life and hope might be
diminishing and U think the
chance
is gone .But U know what?
God's
waiting for U to release His
favour, so don't go back along the
way,
dont
quit, don't be upset by what U
face
along the way.In fact, God has
already deliberated on your
specifications...One more thing,
u
dont have to go through any
interview, since u have all the
qualifications God wants..
You’re in for a Divine
announcement
before the end of this year.

Does the shilling you have count?

Making a personal budget is critical to have a healthy financial life. We have already seen that being on a budget need not be extremely limiting or punishing but rather allows you to direct money to the areas that are important to you and gives you a chance to spend on larger items after spending.
The good thing is you will not have to keep avoiding people, or keep talking about that one day when you do that special thing that you have been longing for but can’t afford. Here are some simple tips to get you started.
1. Make a list of the critical items that you will require for the day, month, week then year- This will give you a starting point to see what you can eliminate or do differently so you can get your spending under control. Food, rent, transport, water, etc.
2. Make sure you pay yourself a salary- This is what you will use to get you started in going in the direction that you want to move into. Say for example you want to start making money and investing or want to open a business this money immediately goes to work for you in that area.
3. Make sure you make the necessary adjustments to your lifestyle- One thing you may do is disconnect DSTV. Digital TV is important if you are in an area where you can get terrestrial TV even with a booster.  If you can get the basic channels then disconnect. You can get movies, or read books, do puzzles, go for walks. The options are endless.
4. Record all the expenses that you have - A tiny book that can fit in your wallet or purse with a tiny pencil will be ideal for this. When you get off a bus, write down the fare you just paid. It is important that you write it as soon as possible so you do not forget. When you get a receipt you can put this off till evening but have a time set aside to tackle this duty. This ensures you do not loose track.
5. Weekly reviews are important - If you end up getting unwell and needing to go to the doctor and you spend more than you thought, this may have to come out of another category of your spending like going out to eat on the weekend with friends.
6. Make sure that you have a goal - Many people look forward to the time that they can go back to school and gain more education. This is important because when you feel like misbehaving you remind yourself that you are doing this for the betterment of yourself/ family or something you will truly believe in.
Once you are clear on what you need to do, have the motivation on why you need to do it, you will find that saving and living on a budget actually makes sense. You can begin to achieve your dreams and live the way you plan. This at the end of the day is more satisfying.

how to make your c.v(attractive)

How do you explain what makes you reach for a certain product at Tuskys Supermarket or wherever you like to shop?  You probably are used to that product so you stretch your hand and reach for it but what about a new product? Is it the way it’s packaged? The colour maybe? The name of the product?
It’s all about creating the right first impression based on what meets the eye and that’s how most people get to experience a new product.
Think of your CV as a product, does it appeal to the eye? Does it make the recruiter want to reach for it in a bunch of banal looking CV’s and go through it?
I am not advocating for you to go all bananas on your CV and give it some crazy looking back ground colour hoping that the recruiter will reach for it instead of the others. He/she will reach for it alright, but to throw it in the dustbin. How about trying some professionalism and maybe putting some class on it ?
Here are 6 tips of how you can do just that.
1.Be consistent . If you decide to go BOLD on  “Objective” also bold “Education” and “Skills” as well.
2.Use  white space effectively. A page packed with text may suggest a lot of impressive accomplishments, but it’s also no picnic to read. Last time I checked, most Kenyans do not like to read and the recruiter may not be an exception.
A good résumé should be easy to scan and see what’s what. So use one-inch margins and leave line breaks between different kinds of information.
3.Use a good-looking typography  (font )One or two font selections will do; you want a clean, businesslike look.
4.Watch the size of your text. Unless you are using an unusually-scaled typeface, your best bet for body text is size 10, 11 or 12. Too small is annoying to read, too large looks unprofessional.
5.Don’t use a prepackaged cliché kind of résumé template! Chances are, your prospective employer has already looked through fifty submissions using the default settings that came with some word processor.
Change the structure up a bit, sprinkle in a simple graphic elements even by adding small bullet points or a borders just to make your work stand out from the crowd.
6.Balance and organize the information. Solid text as if you are writing a novel won’t just cut it. Remember what I said earlier about Kenyans reading habits? Yep, that won’t cut it.
Think about ways to break up the text by using columns, bullets, lists and centering, and by grouping  relevant information into sections—this suggests organization, logical thinking and demonstrates to the reader that you will be able to deliver professional looking documents.
This pointers will sure give you an impeccable CV. But wait a minute, don’t let your CV be all show and nothing worthwhile to make you the right candidate.
I bet you feel bad when you purchase a product because it looks good on the outside but behold, it’s just crap on the inside.
Make the actual content on your resume worth the effort of following this 6 tips. You can go through out CV writing articles and learn all about CV writing techniques.
Remember, with a little extra effort, your résumé can set you apart from the other applicants right from the moment your future boss opens the envelope.
Good luck catching the eye of the right people at the right job for you!

FACTORS TO CONSIDER WHEN BUYING AN EGG INCUBATOR
The main factors that affect the incubation process are: temperature, humidity, ventilation, position, and turning of the eggs.
The factors to consider before buying an incubator are:
1) Egg capacity. An incubator produces better results when operating at capacity.
2) Incubator lifespan: How long the incubator will last and cost of all replaceable parts helps one ascertain the expected cost of maintaining the incubator and or project viability
3) After sales service and availability of parts. Ensure the seller knows about servicing of incubators and has stock other incubator spare parts
4) Accuracy of controls. Buy the most accurate incubator to keep temperature and humidity fluctuations to a minimum.
5) Labour demand. The amount of labour involved in operating the machine and carrying out a thorough sanitation program. The fully automatic incubators with the self-disinfecting UV lamps are the most recommended.
6) The warranty. Buy incubators with a long service warranty
7) Hatching space. Buy an incubator with a hatcher space of at least 1/3 of the egg capacity to ensure better control of the hatching duration.
Ability to preserve heat during a power blackout. Buy an incubator that keeps warm temperatures for long to avoid cold and hot sports within the incubator.
9) Power back up. Buy an adequate size power back up like a generator or battery before setting eggs

DO YOU YOURSELF

Being in your twenties......
It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start
realizing that there are many things about yourself that
you didn't know and may not like. You start feeling
insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or two,
but then get scared because you barely know where you
are now.
You start realizing that people are selfish and that,
maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close
to aren't exactly the greatest people you have ever met,
and the people you have lost touch with are some of the
most important ones. What you don't recognize is that
they are realizing that too, and aren't really cold, catty,
mean or insincere, but that they are as confused as you.
You look at your job... and it is not even close to what
you thought you would be doing, or maybe you are
looking for a job and realizing that you are going to have
to start at the bottom and that scares you. Your opinions
have gotten stronger. You see what others are doing and
find yourself judging more than usual because suddenly
you realize that you have certain boundaries in your life
and are constantly adding things to your list of what is
acceptable and what isn't. One minute, you are insecure
and then the next, secure.
You laugh and cry with the greatest force of your life. You
feel alone and scared and confused. Suddenly, change is
the enemy and you try and cling on to the past with dear
life, but soon realize that the past is drifting further and
further away, and there is nothing to do but stay where
you are or move forward.
You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you
loved could do such damage to you. Or you lie in bed and
wonder why you can't meet anyone decent enough that
you want to get to know better. Or maybe you love
someone but love someone else too and cannot figure out
why you're doing this because you know that you aren't a
bad person. You want to settle down for good because
now all of a sudden that becomes top priority. Getting
wasted and acting like an idiot starts to look pathetic. You
begin to think a companion for life is better than a
hundred in the shack and for once you would not mind
standing tall for that special someone which otherwise
you had never thought of until now.
You go through the same emotions and questions over
and over, and talk with your friends about the same topics
because you cannot seem to make a decision. You worry
about loans, money, the future and making a life for
yourself... and while winning the race would be great,
right now you'd just like to be a contender!
What you may not realize is that every one reading this
relates to it.We are in our best of times and our worst of
times, trying as hard as we can to figure this whole thing
out. Pass this along to your twenty-something friends....
maybe it will help someone feel like they aren't alone in
their state of confusion...
We call it the "Quarter-life Crisis".

KEEP GOING FREND

EVERTHTHING WILL BE OKAY IN THE END
I know right now you may be stressed, worried, troubled, disappointed, dumped, confused… But everything is gonna be OKAY in the END. If it’s not okay then it’s not your end
trust me. You just still have to keep on trying till you make it. I know you are asking yourself several questions like why me
being poor? Why me being disappointed? Why me being Jobless? Why me being confused? Why me being homeless? Why me being cheated on? Why me
not having my own house?
Why me being dumped?
Why me being childless?
Why me being single? Why me not being happy like other people? And many
more different questions,
But I tell you what my friend, everyone has his or her own day of luck, we all have different chances and
opportunities. They just never happen on the same days. Your day will come.
So don’t LOSE HOPE and don’t think of GIVING UP right now. You will be the happiest at the END. It’s a matter of being PATIENT, DETERMINED and praying to
GOD. Don’t hate yourself and don’t hate life because you’re not the only one in that situation. We are all going through that. God be
with you.

the greatest frustrations

One of the greatest frustrations with people is that they can demand of you more that they deserve or more than you have to give. People can be selfish and very inconsiderate.
Remember this: Owe no man anything except to love him. Romans 13:8
You may not owe them the time they demand, but you owe them love.
You may not owe them an explanation, but you owe them love.
You may not owe them the allegiance they seek, but you owe them love.
You may not owe them the money, but you owe them love.
You may not owe them to attend their event, but you owe them love.
You may not owe them the favor that they are demanding, but you owe them love.
You may not owe them the gift that they are hinting about, but you owe them love.

Don't let people rip you apart. Don't let them strip you bare, constantly asking for more from you and causing you to be angry and bitter. But even if you have to say no, do it in love. They still deserve dignity and respect even as you decline. God says that no matter what they do, YOUR DEBT TO LOVE THEM IS NEVER PAID. YOU ALWAYS OWE PEOPLE LOVE!
Don't let people walk all over you but neither should you walk all over people because you are offended! Walk in love.
That is maturity and that is balance!
Have a loving week yáll.

relationship matters

Brad Pitt About His Wife: ... "My wife got sick. She was constantly nervous because of problems at work, personal life, her failures and problems with children.
She has lost 30 pounds and weighted about 90 pounds in her 35 years. She got very skinny, and was constantly crying. She was not a happy woman.
She had suffered from continuing headaches, heart pain and jammed nerves in her back and ribs. She did not sleep well, falling asleep only in the morning and got tired very quickly during the day.
Our relationship was on the verge of break up. Her beauty was leaving her somewhere, she had bags under her eyes, she was poking her head, and stopped taking care of herself.
She refused to shoot the films and rejected any role. I lost hope and thought that we’ll get divorced soon…
But then I decided to act on it. After all I've got the most beautiful woman on the earth. She is the idol of more than half of men and women on earth, and I was the one allowed to fall asleep next to her and to hug her shoulders.
I began to pamper her with flowers, kisses and compliments. I surprised her and pleased her every minute. I gave her lots of gifts and lived just for her. I spoke in public only about her. I incorporated all themes in her direction. I praised her in front of her own and our mutual friends.
You won’t believe it, but she blossomed. She became even better than before. She gained weight, was no longer nervous and she loved me even more than ever. I had no clue that she CAN love that much.
And then I realized one thing: The woman is the reflection of her man.
If you love her to the point of madness, she will become it. " - Brad Pitt, A Secret of Love.

family issues

Two men at a bus stop started a conversation.
One of them keeps complaining of family problems.
Finally, the other man says, "You think you have family problems?"
Listen to my situation.. A few years ago I met a young
widow with a grown-up daughter and we got married.
Later, my dad married my stepdaughter. That made my
stepdaughter my step-mom and my dad became my stepson-in-
law.
Also my wife became mom-in-law to her dad-in-law.
Then my wife's daughter, my step-mom, had a son. This boy
was my half-brother 'cause he was my dad's son, but he was
also the son of my wife'sdaughter, which made him
my wife's grandson.
That made me the grandfather of my half-brother. This was nothing until my wife and I had a son. Now, the half-sister of my son, my stepmom, is also the grandmom. My dad is the bro-in-law of my child, who is the stepbrother of
my dad's wife!
AND YOU THINK YOU HAVE FAMILY PROBLEMS?" The other guy fainted.

who to date

Date a guy who loves Jesus
By Tinashe Maruta
Date the guy who has his heart set on having God’s heart. Date a guy who’s captured by Christ.
There’s nothing more beautiful than seeing that strong man that you’ve known melt in compassion and reverence in the presence of God. To see him fall to his knees, with tears in his eyes and hands held high, without a care to the world watching him. But you will notice, this guy’s got something.
Date the guy who’s not afraid to show it.
You’re blessed if you get him, for they’re not easy to find. They might say that they believe, just to be close to you. But if you find a guy who really loves God, hold on to him.
The guy who loves Jesus will respect you. He’ll pursue you, pray for you, treasure you. He won’t pressure you or control you, but gently walk beside you and lead you. He will appreciate you as the gift and beauty you are, and remind you of it every day.
The guy who loves Jesus will worship with you. He’ll pray for you, he’ll pray with you. He will lead you with strong hands, stand up when you can’t… but remind you that only God can satisfy. He’ll search you out like the Proverbs 31 Woman, and love you with agape like only he can.
Date a guy who loves Jesus with everything he is. He’ll be good to you, he’ll treat you well, and when you spend your life with him, it will be beautiful. He’s been created just for you, and together you’ll find and follow your purpose.
Date a guy who loves Jesus because you deserve it. and when you finally find him, don’t forget to thank God every single day he’s around.
Or better yet, marry a guy who loves Jesus

JESUS

Who is Jesus? In chemistry, He turned water to wine. In biology, He was born without the normal conception; In physics, He disapproved the law of gravity when He ascended into heaven; In economics, He disapproved the law of diminishing return by feeding 5000 men with two fishes & 5 loaves of bread; In medicine, He cured the sick and the blind without administering a single dose of drugs, In history, He is the beginning and the end; In government, He said that He shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace; In religion, He said no one comes to the Father except through Him; So. Who is He? He is Jesus! Join me and let's celebrate Him; He is worthy. The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil, the hand that will send this message to everybody shall not labor in vain, and the mouth saying Amen to this prayer shall smile forever. Remain in God and seek his face always. Amen! In God I've found everything! The Greatest Man in History Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us! If you believe in God and in Jesus Christ His Son. Send this to all on your contact list. Let someone know of the works of the Lord thy God. Also note, u are sending this without any threat, just let the whole world appreciate the Lord of Lords. Do not hesitate....

what life has to offer

Make every day count!!! Appreciate
every moment and take from those
moments everything that you possibly
can for you may never be able to
experience it again.

wotch out

HE ONLY WANTED 1 THING FROM YOU
He only wanted 1 thing from you from the
start. That is why he always wanted to
come to your house or bring you over to
his. That is why when he took you out it
was to a fast food drive through and it was
after the sun went down. That is why if he
did take you out to dinner, it was the next
town over so no one who knew him would
be there.

He only wanted 1 thing from you. That is
why he started talking about massages
from day one. That is why conversations
turned to talking about sexy you looked to
him by day 2 and how no matter what you
are talking about, no matter how serious
the conversation was he always had a way
to bring it talking about sex. - Be aware of
these types of conversations because it
shows that he is more interested in your
body and what he can do with it than being
interested in your mind and focusing on
the future...............100% STOLEN
This are some of the minor things that you should avoid in your CV and that can cost you big time.
a)Funny email addresses: sexywanjiku@gmail.com - It may look sexy or swag but the recruiter reads immaturity and may conclude that you are not aware of the job you are applying for.
b)Pictures on your RESUME: please picture will do you good if they are in facebook ,photo album, wallet etc but DON'T put photos in your CVs.
c)Grammatical Errors: This sends the wrong signal to the recruiter. If you cant proof a two-page document for yourself, how will you write a report for a huge project?
d)Using Spouse or Sibling as reference: Using your sibling or spouse is just not professional.
e)Wrong contacts: Before sending the CV , just make sure that the contact numbers and email addresses are reachable.
f)Very Lengthy RESUME :Nobody has the time to read a 10 page CV. 2 page CV is always fine.

Here is a sample of a cover letter for a fresh gratuate who has undertaken internship during their undergraduate study.
 Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to inform you of my interest for the job of an accountant as was recently advertised on patajobs (or any other source). I recently obtained my degree from university of _____ with a second upper divison. As a graduate in accounting i have acquainted myself with a range of skills that will allow me to blend with the culture of your organisation.
Apart from being a proactive  learner , i was involved in extra-curricular activities inside and outside the campus.I was in the organizing committee that launched on of the largest  career and education seminar in july 2011, attended by over 5000 people.
My enthusiastic involvement in many activities outside of the academic circle has served me well in nurturing my leadership and communication skills, which are essential to succeed in the working world.
I appreciate your time reviewing my application, and it will be a pleasure for me to attend an interview with you at your convenient time.
Yours sincere,
______________________

From the cover letter , you can tell that doing internship no matter how insignificant is important for your career.Again small things like club memberships are very important.
1.So Tell me more about yourself:
-Be very careful not to give the recruiter your life history. You don't need to explain everything from birth to present day.Relevant facts about your career, education and current life situation is just fine.
2.Why did you leave your last job:
-It is not a good idea to mention money , it makes you sound mercenary. And if you are in the unfortunate position of being downsized, just be positive about it.If you were fired , then just have a good reason and be positive while answering.
3.Tell me more about what you know about this company:
-Please try and do your homework very well before going for an interview. You should be knowlegeable about the company that you wish to work for.Do the background work as it will make stand out as someone who is prepared and interested with the job.
4.How are you when working under Pressure:
-There are several ways to answer this but always remain positive. You may work well under pressure, you may thrive under pressure or you may PREFER working under pressure.
5.What motivates you to do a good job:
-The answer to this is not money, even if it is.you should be motivated by life noble pursuits.Probably you want to get recognition for a job well done. You want to become better at your job, or you want to help others etc.

Matt Redman - Ten Thousand Reasons (10,000 Reasons) (Bless the Lord), New Album - 10,000 reasons, Year: 2011

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

You're rich in love, and You're slow to anger
Your name is great, and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name
Lord, I'll worship Your holy name

Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name
I'll worship Your holy name
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time." {1 Peter 1:3-5}
Nero’s persecution of Christians was raging in Rome. No doubt the persecution would be expanding throughout the Roman Empire. Therefore, Peter wrote to encourage believers to stand strong and remind them that this earth is simply a layover on the journey home.
The life of the believer is a life of assurance and confidence even in the face of great challenge. Through God’s great mercy we are saved and through the death, burial and resurrection of his Son the road home has been paved. The heavenly inheritance that awaits us is “shielded by God’s power.” Unlike the shiny stuff of the world it “can never perish, spoil or fade.”
“Normal” life (whatever normal is) can lull us into a temporal focus, but the valleys of life (sickness, death, divorce, job loss, job stress) remind us that heaven is our home and causes us to long for it. That’s the message that Peter’s readers needed to hear. Maybe that’s the message you need to hear today.
Prayer:
Father, the journey to heaven is fraught with distractions. Keep our eyes fixed on our certain inheritance. As we watch things rust, rot and disappear around us, thank you for the inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
God Bless!

Can you be there for someone for love

In order to renovate the house, a guy in Japan breaks open the wall. Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls. When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet. He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail, it was nailed some years ago when the house was first built. What happened?...............................!!! The lizard has survived in such position for so long ! In a dark wall partition for many years without moving, it is impossible and mind-boggling.Then he wondered how this lizard survived so long!!! Without moving a single step - since its foot was nailed ! So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating. Later, not knowing from where it came appears another lizard, with food in its mouth. Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply. For the lizard That was stuck by nail, another lizard has been feeding it for years... Imagine ! it has been doing that untiringly for such a long time, without giving up hope on its partner. Think. Would you do that for Your PARTNER ? Would you do it for Your MOTHER who brought you after a big struggle of nine long months ? Or for Your FATHER, FRIENDS, BROTHERS and SISTERS ? do not give up

MORE ABOUT HOLY KEANE AMOOTI AND WHERE GOD HAS BROUGHT HIM FROM + HIS MUSIC###### AMOOTI:"At the age of 9months, i began staying with my grand mom in the western part of Uganda. She was my "everything" and our love grew deeper and deeper every moment. We owned a small bar where many came to take beers en all types alcohol. Therefore, money wasn't a problem in the family. In 1998,i lost my mom due to AIDS. In 2000 when i was 15 years, my dad dies due to HIV AIDS. These incidences didn't bother me so much because i had no serious relationship with them. In 2003, i lost my "strong pillar" grand mom. This didn't leave me the same...because it completely changed my attitude towards life. Life had no meaning at all. i was hopeless and tried to commit suicide 3 times... But by HIS grace nothing happened. After 3 months the aunt i was staying with also died...this brought the feeling of being cursed or bewitched and not loved by God. My heart was filled with bitterness and anger that i could not accept to listen to any preacher or anything positive. i had no friends but myself and life was to survive. All i thought was death from time to time as i thought my time was near.. but thank God, I am a living testimony today. One sunny afternoon as i was moving aimlessly in the city of Kampala, i saw a big gathering of people and decided to join them. This was a crusade hosted by Bishop David Kiganda at Nakivubo blue and the preacher was Todd Bentley of fresh fire ministries. At this crusade i witnessed God's power because the blind were gaining their sight, the lame walking and more miracles. This didn't leave me the same. I gave my life to Jesus Christ..and my life and attitude changed completely. I am filled with joy and happiness and every day growing stronger in the spirit. i thank God. Apparently i am looking after my two siblings who are affected by HIV AIDS,niece and my sister who is in the university. I have witnessed God's favor and hand in my life and family and i have Graduated at Makerere University with a bachelors in performing arts and film. In life i have learnt to put God's things first, if i want Him to move. God bless u". A TESTIMONY BY HOLY KEANE AMOTI# a.k.a Mugisa Keneth.
